My Clients were a couple getting married again and were moving into a house together. Each had two grown up children and wanted to adapt the house to suite their new larger family. The existing house was a large detached, three bedroomed dwelling over three levels on a sloping site rising towards the rear garden with open country side beyond. At the lower level is a double garage level with the road, the next level was the main ground floor level with the entrance hall, toilet/cloaks, double bedroom, kitchen and lounge/dining with balcony overlooking the front of the house. At first floor level, there were two further bedrooms (partly within roof space), a seperate toilet and a main bathroom. My Clients wanted to add another two bedrooms, to make five in total, one of which is to be a new master bedroom with ensuite and dressing room for themselves. They also wanted a larger living space and a larger family kitchen. A separate study was also desireable because one of the Clients worked from home. The scheme designed provided all the accommodation they required. It also included installing a new wood burning stove in the larger lounge and upgrading the existing cloak room/toilet into a shower room on the ground floor and remodelling the existing main bathroom and improving the two existing bedrooms on the first floor. A new combination boiler was also installed. The interior design of the new and remodelled areas of the house including all new sanitary fittings were all selected by the Clients and are all excellent. My Clients, now Mr & Mrs M, are very pleased with the scheme and have written a testimonial.
